The competitive Indian smartphone market is gearing up for a new battle in the performance-centric mid-range segment. Oppo is all set to launch its latest rival, the K13 Turbo Pro 5G, on August 11, 2025. This new device is set to take on Poco’s upcoming F7 5G directly, with both phones reportedly powered by the same cutting-edge Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor.
This shared powerhouse chipset sets the stage for a fierce rivalry, forcing potential buyers to take a closer look at the specifics of design, camera capabilities, and most importantly, price.
Performance and power
At the heart of both the Oppo K13 Turbo Pro and Poco F7 is the powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, which promises flagship-level performance. However, both brands are taking slightly different approaches when it comes to memory and storage.
The Poco F7 is expected to feature up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage. To add to its performance dominance, Oppo might offer the K13 Turbo Pro with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage.
Design and Display
The design principles of the two phones seem to be quite different. The Oppo K13 Turbo Pro offers an eye-catching design for gamers with its recently revealed “Neon Turbo Design” that features metallic rear panels with RGB lighting.
In contrast, the Poco F7 5G is said to feature a more simple and premium-looking dual-tone design. It is also durable to a certain extent with an IP rating for water and dust protection.
In terms of display, the competition is tough. The Oppo K13 Turbo Pro is expected to feature a 6.80-inch AMOLED display, a high-resolution 1.5K panel, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Poco F7 5G features a slightly larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display that also features a 120Hz refresh rate.
Oppo K13 Turbo Camera capabilities
When it comes to photography, both devices present a clear difference. The Oppo K13 Turbo Pro is expected to feature a dual-camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, it is expected to feature a 16MP front-facing camera.
The Poco F7 is tipped to feature a more versatile rear camera system with a 50MP main camera paired with a more functional 8MP ultrawide lens. It also looks better when it comes to selfies, as it has a high resolution 20MP front camera.
Oppo K13 Turbo Price and availability
The ultimate battle will be price. The Poco F7 5G is set to make a strong bid with a very aggressive starting price of just ₹31,999 for its 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.
Oppo is offering the K13 Turbo Pro 5G at a slightly higher price, which has been revealed to be priced under ₹40,000. The choice for consumers will depend on whether Oppo’s potential RAM advantage and unique RGB design justify its price compared to Poco’s aggressive pricing and more versatile camera setup. With the launch set to take place in just a few days, all eyes are on Oppo to see how it presents its new performance champion in this exciting market battle.
