ICC Men’s ODI Rankings
The ICC Men’s ODI Rankings have undergone notable changes following the high-scoring series between Australia and South Africa. While Indian stalwarts continue to dominate the top order, several Australian players have made striking progress thanks to their match-winning performances.
Batting Rankings
India’s Shubman Gill remains firm at the top with 784 points, followed by Rohit Sharma (756) and Pakistan’s Babar Azam (739). Virat Kohli also stays close behind with 736 points, ensuring India’s stronghold in the batting charts.

Australia’s batters were the headline makers after their explosive display in the final ODI against South Africa, where they piled up a staggering 431/2. Travis Head’s blistering 142, Mitchell Marsh’s fluent 100, and Cameron Green’s unbeaten 118 powered the total and translated into major ranking boosts. Head climbed to 11th, Marsh jumped four places to 44th, while Green surged 40 spots to 78th. Wicketkeeper Josh Inglis also saw his rankings rise, moving up 23 places to 64th.
Bowling Rankings
The bowling charts now feature joint leaders: Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana and South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj, both holding 671 points. Maharaj’s modest return of 1/57 in the decider allowed Theekshana to pull level.
India’s spin duo, Kuldeep Yadav (3rd, 650 points) and Ravindra Jadeja (9th, 616 points), continue to shine among the world’s best. South African pacer Lungi Ngidi was the standout gainer, leaping six positions to 28th after claiming a series-high seven wickets. Australia’s Sean Abbott (up nine to 48th) and Nathan Ellis (up 21 to 65th) also reaped rewards for their effective spells.
India’s ODI Outlook
Though India hasn’t played ODIs in recent weeks, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli remain key figures in the format. Both featured in India’s victorious ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign in the UAE, underlining their continuing importance to the team despite stepping away from Test and T20 cricket.
