Zimbabwe T20I Squad For Series Against Sri Lanka
In a significant move to strengthen its T20 International squad, Zimbabwe Cricket has announced the return of , veterans Sean Williams and Brendan Taylor to the 16-man squad for the upcoming three-match series against Sri Lanka. The series will begin on Wednesday, September 3 in Harare.
The addition of the experienced duo is expected to bring crucial stability and strength to the batting order. Veteran all-rounder Sean Williams is set to play his first T20I match since May 2024, when he last played against Bangladesh. He is joined by renowned wicketkeeper-batsman Brendan Taylor, who has recently returned to the Test and ODI squads after serving an ICC-imposed ban and has completed his full return to international cricket across formats.

Wesley Madhevere, Newman Nyamuri, Vincent Masekesa and Tafadzwa Tsiga have been dropped for the Sri Lanka challenge.
Star all-rounder Sikandar Raza will continue to captain the side.
