India beat South Korea to become Asia Cup 2025 champions

Hockey Asia Cup 2025:

It was a memorable night in Rajgir as India’s men’s hockey team defeated South Korea 4-1 in the final played at the Bihar Sports University Hockey Stadium to lift the Asia Cup 2025 title. With this, India won their fourth Asia Cup title and ended an eight-year wait for continental glory, which also includes titles in 2003, 2007 and 2017.

A final worth the hype

The match had everything pace, grit and plenty of drama. Both teams were neck-and-neck for three quarters before India dominated the final period. Amit Rohidas and Son Dan scored from penalty corners while skipper Harmanpreet Singh held the defence and kept Korea under pressure. Once India took the lead, there was no looking back and the stadium erupted in joy when the scoreboard read 4-1 at full time.

Dilpreet Singh shines

If there was one name that stood out, it was Dilpreet Singh. The young forward scored two brilliant goals in the final, earning him the Player of the Match award. It was a perfect end to his dream tournament, where he also played a key role in India’s stunning 7-0 win over China in the campaign opener.
