Family Rallies Around Dharmendra: Hema Malini and Sunny Deol Share Updates After Hospital Admission
Veteran actor Dharmendra has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, his family confirmed on Monday evening. The admission comes approximately a week after a previous medical check-up had initially sparked concern among fans.
His wife, actor-politician Hema Malini, shared a reassuring update with the public via her X (formerly Twitter) account. Thanking everyone for their concern, she wrote, “I thank everyone for their concern about Dharam ji who is in hospital for observation. He is being continuously monitored and we are all with him.” She concluded her message with a heartfelt plea: “I request you all to pray for his welfare and speedy recovery.”

Earlier, the actor’s son, Sunny Deol, had also released a statement. He confirmed that his father was “stable and under observation” and requested that the “family’s right to privacy” be respected during this time. Sunny Deol, accompanied by his son Karan Deol, was seen arriving at the hospital.
This recent hospitalization follows earlier concerns this month. After a previous hospital visit, reporters had asked Hema Malini about her husband’s health. In response, she had simply gestured “okay” and folded her hands to express gratitude, reassuring those present.
On the professional front, the beloved actor is slated to appear in Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming film, “Ikkis.” The project also reportedly stars Agastya Nanda and Jaideep Ahlawat in lead roles.
