TVS, the prominent Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, is set to make a significant entry into the adventure-tourer category with the launch of its all-new motorcycle, the TVS Apache RTX 300. The bike, first unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 (BMGE ’25), is confirmed to be launched in India on October 15th.

Engine and Performance

The Apache RTX 300 will be powered by the company’s new 299cc, liquid-cooled engine, which is referred to as the RTX D4 engine in some reports. This new powertrain is based on the RT-XD4 engine platform that TVS previously showcased at the 2025 MotoSoul event.

Key performance figures for the RTX 300 are an estimated peak power output of around 35 hp and maximum torque of 28.5 Nm. The engine will be paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Chassis and Hardware

The new adventure tourer utilizes a foundation that is built for off-road capability. The model showcased at the Expo and confirmed by spy shots reveals the following hardware:

* Frame: It will feature a steel trellis frame.

* Suspension: The front will be equipped with a fully-adjustable upside-down (USD) front fork, while the rear will feature a monoshock.

* Wheels: The motorcycle is likely to run on a 19-inch wheel at the front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear, a common setup for adventure bikes.

* Brakes: Braking will be managed by a disc brake setup at both the front and the rear.

Design and Features

TVS filed the design patent for the RTX 300 in March 2025, and the leaked images, patent drawings, and test mule sightings confirm a sharp and purposeful adventure design.

Noteworthy design elements include:

* Front End: It gets twin LED headlamps, LED turn indicators, and a transparent windshield.

* Body: A muscular fuel tank enhances the bike’s aggressive stance.

* Rear: The design incorporates a split-pillion grab rail connected to a luggage rack, suggesting touring focus. The bike also features an upswept exhaust.

The launch of the Apache RTX 300 on October 15th marks TVS’s first product in the adventure-tourer segment, a highly anticipated addition to their motorcycle portfolio.
