Bihar Police Constable and ASI Steno Recruitment Results Announced
The results of two major recruitment examinations for the law enforcement department in Bihar have been declared, bringing relief to a large number of candidates. The Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC) has released the written exam results for the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2025, while the Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has declared the final merit list for the Steno Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Exam 2024.
Over 99,000 Candidates Shortlisted for Constable PET
In a significant development in the constable recruitment process, the CSBC has shortlisted a total of 99,190 candidates who successfully passed the written exam. These candidates are now eligible to proceed to the next crucial stage of the selection process: the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
These results reflect widespread selection across various reservation categories. The details of selected candidates for the main categories are as follows:
* General (Unreserved): 39,675
* Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 9,915
* Scheduled Caste (SC): 15,870
* Extremely Backward Class (EBC): 17,855
Qualified candidates will now have to prepare for the physically demanding PET round, which is a key determinant in the final selection.
Merit List Released for 305 Steno ASI Vacancies
With this, the BPSSC has announced the results for the recruitment of 305 Steno Assistant Sub-Inspectors. This recruitment drive, which began in 2024, has concluded with the release of the final merit list.
Candidates selected for the post of Steno ASI will be appointed under the Level 5 pay scale, with a salary ranging from ₹29,200 to ₹92,300. This marks the conclusion of the selection process for this particular position in the Bihar Police Force.
