120 Bahadur official Teaser 2 released
The legacy of one of the bravest last warriors in Indian military history is now set to be immortalized on the silver screen. Excel Entertainment, led by producers Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, and Amit Chandra, has released the teaser of their upcoming film, ‘120 Bahadur,’ a cinematic tribute to the heroes of the 1962 Sino-Indian War.
The film depicts the historic Battle of Rezang La, fought at an altitude of 18,000 feet in Ladakh. It chronicles the incredible bravery of 120 soldiers of ‘C’ Company of the 13th Kumaon Regiment, commanded by Major Shaitan Singh. Facing overwhelming odds, this small contingent displayed unparalleled courage and inflicted heavy casualties on the opposing forces before succumbing to defeat. Major Shaitan Singh was posthumously awarded India’s highest military honor, the Param Vir Chakra, for his valor and leadership.
A new two-minute, ten-second teaser for the film was recently released, offering a powerful glimpse into the sacrifices made by soldiers. Set to the soulful vocals of Lata Mangeshkar’s iconic song, “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon,” the video captures the deep emotions and intense action of war, focusing on the unwavering resolve of Indian soldiers defending their country.
The project is being directed by Rajneesh Ghai and written by Rajiv G. Menon. The film’s emotional core is expected to be further deepened by a poignant soundtrack composed by Amit Trivedi and songs by the legendary Javed Akhtar.
Producer Farhan Akhtar previously hinted at the project’s significance in an Instagram post from Ladakh, saying he had returned to the region to “shoot a very special film” after filming “Lakshya” and “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.”
Commemorating the “valour, patriotism, sacrifice” of these heroes, 120 Bahadur is set to release in theatres on November 21.
