Massive Turnout Expected

The SSC CGL exam continues to be one of the country’s largest competitive tests, with nearly 28 lakh candidates having registered for the 2025 cycle. The examination will be conducted in a single shift across numerous centers. In a move to ease travel for candidates, the commission has confirmed that examination centers will be allotted within a 100 km radius of the location chosen by the applicant.

Key Pre-Exam Updates: City Intimation and Admit Cards

Before the admit card is released, the SSC will issue a City Intimation Slip. This slip is expected to be available approximately 7-10 days prior to the examination. It will allow candidates to know their allotted exam city and the exact date of their test well in advance, helping them plan their travel arrangements.

The final Admit Card, which is mandatory for entry into the examination hall, will be released 2-3 days before the candidate’s specific exam date. Applicants must download it from their respective regional SSC websites and carry a printed copy along with a valid photo ID proof to the center. The admit card will contain crucial details such as reporting time, exam city, and shift information.

Selection Process Highlights

The selection process for SSC CGL 2025 will consist of two stages: Tier 1 and Tier 2. A significant update in this year’s process is the removal of the interview stage. This change places a greater emphasis on the candidates’ performance in the written examinations, making their scores in both tiers the sole determinant for securing a post.

Candidates are strongly advised to regularly monitor the official SSC website, ssc.nic.in, for all further announcements and updates regarding the examination.
