The order has been placed by Tera Software Limited, which is part of a consortium led by ITI Limited, and involves the supply of various types of optical fiber cables for the third phase of the BharatNet initiative in the West Bengal Telecom Circle.
This achievement represents a major milestone for HFCL, strengthening its involvement in the BharatNet program—India’s flagship effort to boost internet connectivity in rural regions. The agreement stipulates that HFCL will deliver the required optical fiber cables over a three-year period.
In a regulatory update filed with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE), HFCL confirmed that the order is entirely domestic.
The new order is expected to play a crucial role in HFCL’s growth trajectory and enhance the digital infrastructure in West Bengal. The BharatNet program aims to narrow the digital gap by delivering high-speed internet to underserved rural communities.
