KNR Constructions Bags Major Coal Mining Contract in Jharkhand
KNR Constructions Limited (KNRCL) announced today in exchange filing that it has received a significant Letter of Acceptance for the “Short Term Contract for Development and Operation of Banhardih Coal Mining Block in the State of Jharkhand”. This substantial contract was awarded by Patratu Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd, a joint venture subsidiary of NTPC and JBVNL. The project will be executed by the M/s KNRCL-HCPL (JV), where KNR Constructions Ltd holds a 74% share, and Harsha Constructions Pvt Ltd holds 26%.
The project carries a contract value of INR 4,800.57 Crores, excluding GST. The operational phase of the contract is set for 5 years, preceded by an initial development period of 360 days. The Banhardih Coal Mining Block boasts an estimated reserve of 34.50 Million Tonnes.
Following this exciting development, KNR Constructions Limited has initiated a closure of its trading window. The trading window for dealing in the company’s securities will be closed from June 25, 2025, to June 27, 2025. This measure applies to all Directors, Officers, and Designated employees, in adherence to the company’s “KNRCL Code of Conduct for Prevention of Insider Trading”.
The company has duly informed both the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited about this new project, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
